The challenge
Smith Cameron Operating Group (SCG) is a fully integrated pump and process solutions provider serving municipal and industrial clients across Canada. Comprised of ten entities, SCG sought to standardize operations across their portfolio to enable scale, efficiency, and cross-entity collaboration. The goal: consolidate disparate processes and ERP systems under one unified SAP platform.
At stake was the company's ability to operate efficiently across entities, align to shared service metrics, and report individually at the group level. Without alignment, SCG faced costly duplication of efforts, technology inefficiencies, and barriers to strategic decision-making for the private equity firm backing the organization.
Strategy
To support a multi-entity rollout of SAP, Meira worked closely with SCG to align on core aspects and select the SAP implementation partner. The goal was to design standardized processes across the group while retaining the unique operational needs that added value.
